My boyfriend and me went to Corfu and it was just amazing! The apartment itself was as it should be. Everything was very clean and worked well. At the end of the day it was nice to come home and relax in the apartment. All the facilities worked well and there was also a travelmap available which is super useful! The location is very idyllic. You have a nice view from the balcony and in less then 5 minutes, which is a romantic walk on the pedestrian bridge surrounded by water. The only thing that could be disturbing is the noise of the planes passing by and the lagoon which attracts mosquitoes. So don’t forget your mosquito spray! 🙂 (You have mosquito nets on every window, an anti-mosquito candle and an electric scent machine) The restaurant we liked the most in the neighbourhood was ‘Ma Cocotte’ at Kanoni. A vegetarian restaurant which has a beautiful setting, lovely food, friendly staff and music sessions! There is also a sushi bar on the same spot. If you want to see a lot of the island I would suggest renting a squad/car because the buses aren’t that great in Corfu. Except the bus to the city centre in Kanoni. Make sure you pay attention in streets where it is very busy because the Greek people have there own driving style and sometimes the roads aren’t that good. The most beautfiful places we have visited were: Porto Timoni Beach, Lagos, Halikounas Beach and Corfu Old Town (and of course the quad tours in full nature). Corfu is a very wonderful island with a lot of treasures. In the North the beaches are more rocky and there you have mountains. In the South you have more sandy beaches. We didn’t like the east-coast because it was very busy with tourists. Even the beautiful Paleokasistras was a bit too crowdy for us to really enjoy and stay for a long time. A special thanks to Kleopatra for all the help and the little gifts. We really enjoyed our stay at Corfu and we are thinking of getting back sooner or later!
